Associação Auxiliadora das Classes Laboriosas

Assistant Association of the Labouring Classes was a association found on 31st May 1891 to help Portuguese workers and their families who had migrated recently to São Paulo. This is what remains of its building after a big fire that almost destroyed it completely in 2008. The remains of the great Art-Deco building stills stands on Rua Roberto Simonsen, 82.  Read more at Wikipedia:
